With the FWD car sold, it was up to Cory, he finished up the old mini stock and got it
out on the track this week. Its been sitting a while, so it was a rough start to the night
trying to get the handling sorted out, but by the end of the night I think he had a good
base to work off of for the next race! He qualified 2nd, and pulled off in the heat race,
but finished 3rd in the feature. Not exactly where he wanted to be, but not bad
considering he was really just trying to pretty much practice the car and get things
figured out! We won't be out at the track next week on the 4th but will see everyone on
the 11th! Everyone have a fun and safe 4th of July!

June 13th

Well. . .it was a crazy weekend at the track! Cory decided he didnt want to drive the
FWD car this week, so I (Shari) drove it, or at least, tried to! The car was crazy bad at
the first practice session, but we worked on it and it was much better by qualifying! I
ran 6th in the heat and I think I finished 6th in the feature as well, after a little early
race contact the car became ill handling and it felt like I had a flat rear tire and pulled
off with 2 laps to go. We had a fun night though! I forgot the video camera this week, so
no videos to post, sorry!

June 6

After a horrible week, finding out that the block in Cory's modified isn't salvageable, the
team really needed to blow off some steam, and what better way than to have Jake run
the front wheel drive car?! Jake ran 5th in the heat race and despite saying that the
car was the biggest piece of sh!t he has ever driven, he had a smile on his face! He went
back out in the feature and was running fifth when the right front tire blew for the
second week in a row! Everyone had a good time and had a chance to relax and look
forward to the busy week ahead. We are headed to Angola Thursday night to watch the
Stan Perry Memorial race, then Saturday we are trying to talk Cory into driving the
front wheel drive car! Whatever we decide, we will have a great time doing it for sure!

youtube of the heat and feature

I went ahead and taped the mod feature this week, and since Cory wasn't taping I tried
to be as unbiased as possible in my recording! watch it on youtube!

Cory ran great tonight, qualified 8th, then finished 2nd in the heat race. He was
running a solid second place finish in the feature when, with about 5 laps to go, the oil
pressure dropped and he was forced to pull off the track to preserve the motor. We have
it out already and aren't anticipating any problems with having the car back out next
Saturday!

I (Shari!) took the front wheel drive out this week and had a great time with it,
finishing 3rd in the heat race. Going out to start the feature I realized that the front
right tire had a broken belt, but decided to try it anyway, I was running second in the
feature when the tire gave up with a few laps to go! Considering the tires were the ones
the car has been sitting on in the weeds all flat and dry rotted the last two years, we
were surprised they lasted as long as they did!! I had a great time running the car and
thanks to Josh for letting me run his car! The plan is for Jake to run it next week,
unless it sells!

May 23rd

Great first night for the season, Cory qualified 7th in a very tight field, and then
grabbed a win in the heat race jumping up front on the first lap and staying there til the
end. In the feature he ran great, Running second, a few laps in, and several cautions
later, he was passed by Wallen, who went on for the win, Cory then passed the newly
second place car and held that position for the rest of the race. Great night, what a way
to kick off the year! Videos of Saturday nights race are on youtube, links below:

May 16th

Well, the first night got rained out, which stinks, but many thanks to Tom Isch and the
track crew for not making us all sit out there in the wet and cold all night before
making the call to cancel, those nights are miserable! We are all prepared and ready to
go so we will see you all next week! Keep an eye on the site, I'm going to try to YouTube
some of the races this year!

Saturday night is opening night at Baer Field Speedway! We are hoping for a good
crowd, Jake hasn't gotten his car together yet so it will just be Cory in the Modified

April

The team is ready to race. . .now if the cars were just ready! Cory is getting some sheet
metal work finished up on his car and then will be able to slide the engine in and be
pretty much race ready, whereas Jake still needs to skin out a new body, fit it up, get it
painted, and fix a few other things from his rollover last year. We are excited to see
everyone soon, we will be heading up to watch the CRA race in April and then should be
ready to run the mod at Angola the first weekend in May! See you all then!
